<rdfs:comment>Carnegie Hall Recital Debut
The three arrangements of spirituals by Roland Hayes were presented as a group titled "The Passion of Our Lord". According to the New York Times review (Feb. 15, 1965, p.30), both Roland Hayes and composer John Carter were present at this performance and accepted applause with a bow.
