According to the review, "[i]n addition to traditional Yiddish folk songs of anonymous origin, she included modern Hebrew songs from Palestine and Israel and Yiddish songs of World War II the composers and texts of which are known. Mrs. Rubin ended with a group of song parallels from Italian, English, German, French-Canadian and Yiddish folk songs."
