Selections shown here were taken from the listing; it is not known whether the same program was performed on July 26. The listing indicates that part of the proceeds from this concert were to go to a Harlem music school in memory of the late Lieutenant James Reese Europe, bandmaster of the 369th Regiment Band from 1918 until his death on May 9, 1919 (Europe was stabbed in the neck by a bandmember).
