There was a pre-concert talk at 7:00 PM with Simon Morrison, Professor of Music History, Princeton University.
According to a review of this performance published by the New York Classical Review, the encore performed by the orchestra was described as follows: "[a]ll the musicians stood and, holding the music in their hands, sang what Fischer described as a “4th century Russian church song arranged by a 19th-century composer.”"
