The Carmina Burana Choral Project featured 200 high school singers and 50 middle school singers from all over New York City with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s conducted by David Robertson. In addition, three high school–aged composers were selected to write new works for chorus and orchestra based on the musical themes of Carmina Burana. These new works were premiered on the first half of the program.
