According to the article, "More than 2,500 members of the Armenian colony here attended memorial services in Carnegie Hall yesterday afternoon for General Ozanian Andranik, Armenian patriot and soldier, who died in France on Aug. 31 at the age of 62. Speakers hailed him as the greatest Armenian of his time and an inspiration for the younger men to continue their efforts to attain independence for their country."
