This program honored Dr. William H. Maxwell, City Superintendant of Schools, on the completion of 25 years of service. The chorus was made up of five hundred students from the De Witt Clinton, Wadleigh, and Washington Irving High Schools of Manhattan, Morris High School of the Bronx, and the Commercial Boys' Girls' and Manual Training Schools of Brooklyn. The orchestra (50 members) was comprised of students from the De Witt Clinton and Commercial High Schools.
