- This was Maria Callas' final Carnegie Hall performance. The advertising flyer for this concert lists a second performance date of April 2, 1974, but according to an announcement in the New York Times (April 1, 1974, pg. 41), the performance was cancelled due to illness of Giuseppe Di Stefano. The printed concert program contains a list of repertoire from which the artists would choose for their performance, but the actual program as performed is uncertain. The review published in the New York Times confirms only those selections recorded here.
