Review mentions that a program note distributed at the concert said the event was a tribute to President Roosevelt, and was under the auspices of the New York Fund for Free Pools and under the direction of the Greater New York Committee of the Warm Springs Foundation.
There are some discrepancies between the program listing from the Times and the review. While the program listing names "Parade of Stars", review does not mention this; instead, it mentions a performance of "Stompin' at the Savoy". "Parade of Stars" may have been some sort of medley that included "Stompin'." Also mentioned in review but not in listing is Otto Cesana's "Negro Heaven."
