  • Benefit for Children's Asthma Research Myrna Loy and John Henry Faulkl presented the annual "Joey" Awards for distinguished service to the cause of a child. Isobel Robins Konecky is listed in the printed concert program under her maiden name, Robins. Her role on this performance is unclear; early in her career she performed as a cabaret singer and Broadway actor, but became better known later as a theatrical producer. Similarly, James Komack, who appears in the program as Jimmie Komack, became best known as a television producer and screenwriter, but at this point in his career had recently performed as an actor in the Broadway production of "Damn Yankees", and would appear in the film version of that show in 1958, so it is assumed he may have performed a musical number on this event.
