"Something got stuck in my windpipe," the soprano explained to her audience when it happened. "I'll finish the recital next time."" These songs were from a set of six by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari that were intended to be U.S. premieres. Ms. Schwarzkopf performed the complete set on this recital.
