  • Although the New York Times weekly event listing and a flyer for this performance do not identify this performance of George Crumb's "Four Nocturnes (Night Music II)" as a premiere, a flyer for a January 11, 1970 League-ISCM concert (also in Carnegie Recital Hall) lists a performance of the same work, also given by Paul Zukofsky, as a New York premiere. Unless the Crumb work was not performed as scheduled on this program, it is assumed this performance was the New York premiere. NEW YORK PREMIERE of George Crumb's FOUR NOCTURNES (NIGHT MUSIC II) "Who Makes Music and Where: OPERA." New York Times (1923-), Mar 26 1967, p. 91. ProQuest. Web. 7 Feb. 2022.
