- The Famous Palestine Chamber Music Ensemble "Zimro" | Program of Jewish Folk Songs
According to the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, composer Sergey Prokofiev, who had been a classmate of the musicians in Zimro at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, was in attendance for this performance, after which he approached the group and offered to write a work for them, which became the Overture on Hebrew Themes.
