Program bears the following note: "In commemoration of WASHINGTON'S BIRTHDAY and in inauguration of a Nation-wide movement to build up PEACE-TIME PATRIOTISM by stimulating interest in ideals, traditions, principles, and institutions symbolized by the Flag of the United States, thereby creating and keeping alive a sturdy Americanism which shall neutralize and destroy any and all forces and influences which are antagonistic to the eternal principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity on which the Republic is founded."
