According to the second article, "The Smoot-Hawley tariff bill was attacked by speakers and a resolution urging its rejection was adopted at a mass meeting at Carnegie Hall last night under the auspices of the Women's Non-Partisan Fair Tariff Committee. Between 150 and 200 persons were present."
