Note that the selection "Elegie" by Massenet, performed by Placido Domingo and Mstislav Rostropovich, was added from a handwritten note included with printed concert program. A review of this performance published in the New York Times confirms that Domingo accompanied himself on piano while Rostropovich played an obbligato part on cello.
