- According to the New York Times, the previous cellist for the Rachmaninoff Trio, Zohrab Svazlian, was replaced by Avron Coleman prior to the performance (but after the program had been printed). Additionally, pianist Eugene Feigen added Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 8 in C Minor, Op. 13, "Pathétique" to the beginning of the performance.
